Russ and I adopted a bunny about 2 weeks ago. We thought it would be a great pet for the girls. Zeus is a wonderful addition to our family. There were about 15 bunnies to choose from but when I saw him I knew that he was the one for us, and I was right. Not only is Zeus quiet, he is also potty trained and doesn't chew on our furniture. He was a little scared of us at first but through love and patience ( and lots of carrots) he is finally used to us. McKaylee loves to tease him and let him chase her through the house. Daphnee was very scared of him at first but she has come to love him.

Festival of Friendship.

Russ, McKaylee,Me, Emily, John, Mary, and Katie!

This past Saturday we went to " The Festival of Friendship" This is a fundraiser for Best Buddies, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment. Best Buddies is a vibrant, international organization that has grown from one original chapter to more than 1,300 middle school, high school, and college campuses across the country and internationally. Our programs today reach all 50 of the United States, and have active international programs in 40 countries. It was so much fun to hang out and watch all the fun going on all around us. One thing that I admire most about this was everyone was so happy, they loved all of the activities and dancing. They are so friendly and loving! It was a wonderful day!

There was some sweet tunes blasting which made you want to dance. It didn't matter if you knew how dance or not everyone just got out and boogied! Emily and Katie are awesome dancers, too bad I didn't have the camera handy to take some memorable pictures!

McKaylee loved shooting the breeze with the firemen!

There was a bounce house that she loved to play in! She was really getting into it.

Daphnee some how got a hold of some cookies. She is just like me, hand over the cookies and no one gets hurt!

McKaylee and Emily! Now they are Best Buddies

Emily, Katie and Mary doing the cake walk! If you have no idea what a cake walk is ( which I didn't) they have a bunch of chairs in a circle with numbers on them. They turn on some music and you walk around the chairs. When the music stops you sit in the chair that is closest to you. Then they call out a number, if you are sitting on the chair with that number on it, then you get a cake!Mary was the winner! Go Mary!

This is the start of the mile walk. McKaylee was fascinated with the balloons!

Russ and Ashlee! I have always wanted to take a picture like this! I think these are so much fun!

There was a dunk tank there that anyone could try! Mary was awesome! She was able to dunk the girl on the 2nd throw! I would have gotten so frustrated that I would have hit the button myself!

McKaylee got a chance to pose with a member of the Dallas Cowboys Football team. The sad thing is, I have no idea who he is. I know, I need to watch more sports!

Daphnee loves to be outside! She loves to look around! Even though she was so tired she was having so much fun.

Luckily, there was food at the Festival. I think that McKaylee ate about 3 bags of chips, plus she helped herself to everyone else's chips. Who would have thought that this little girl could eat like that?
Once again I was so grateful for the opportunity to go to this Fundraiser. Emily was the team leader and she was able to help raise all of the money. It was fun to be around everyone and not feel out of place. Thanks Emily for letting us all know about this cause!

Sweet!

Russ and I bought this kit a while back. I was excited to put it together as a family but I decided that maybe that wasn't such a good idea. McKaylee has such a sweet tooth and she is also getting really good at saying " Please" with big puppy dog eyes. I knew that if she gave me the look that I would end up letting her eat all the candy instead of decorating the house.

Russ decorated one side while I decorated the other. He side looked so much better than mine.

I know I know that window is a mess. I am laughing at myself as I type this, I look like I had an seizure while trying to decorate it. At least I know how to spell out I love Russ!

Okay so this is my side of the house!

This is Russ side of the house! See I told you Russ is a lot better at decorating than me.

Here is his other side! He was so creative. He made window seals! Isn't that cute?

I wanted pictures of our beautiful house, Russ was taking a while trying to figure out how the timer worked on our camera and of course here is the classic picture of me waiting while it takes a picture.

Russ wasn't fast enough.

He we are! The finished project!

Home Sweet Home! Home is where the heart is. Bless this home!

Spring Flowers

Russ and I finally had the chance to plant some flowers and weed! Russ found this weed screen that you lay down and weeds can't grow through it. You would have thought that Russ just celebrated his birthday,he was so excited to put it in! Hopefully, it works!

Here are some other views of your flower garden!

I love these flowers!

Don't you just love spring and all the beautiful flowers!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter from The Wilsterman's!

The Evil Eye

Daphnee is such a happy little girl, that is, until you take away something that she wants. She is a master at giving the evil eye. You better be nice or else she'll give you a piece of her mind!

Any one Hungry?

Russ was re heating some pizza the other day. As you can see he forgot all about it. Luckily is wasn't so burnt that it started a fire!

That's What Friends Are For.

This last Friday was Girl's Night! It was suggested that we try Family Karaoke! I was so nervous at first because I was seriously not blessed with a singing voice. But I knew that I would be around friends that wouldn't boo me off the stage while throwing rotten fruit my way! I discovered that I sound so much better when I sing in the shower or when I am alone in the car. Everyone was so supportive even when I was killing them softly with my sadly sung tunes. This by far was the best Girl's Night. I love letting loose and just being bad at something and not caring! YES I am liberated!
Katie and Becca! Talk about Harmony!

There was a HUGE book that had about 3 different languages including English. There were a ton of songs too choose from!

Katie is such a pro with the tambourine! Me on the other hand.. Not so good! I am glad that Emily and Katie were able to keep things up beat!

The Music Videos were even worse than my singing. They had NOTHING to do with the songs we were singing. As you can see the words are "I love you" while a dead guy is on the screen.

We each got scored on how well we sang the song! Emily got 100! She was the only one and I think that she mastered it with the well known and beautifully sung " I will always love you"

Here we are singing " Give me your hand" by the Bangles. I think that is what the song is called!

Emily and Katie have so much talent. I am secretly very jealous!

Katie has some pretty sweet moves! We can all learn a thing or two from her!

Even though Alexis wasn't feeling well. She was a wonderful singers! I especially loved her New Kids on the Block! She is, in my opinion, their biggest fan!

Becca! She is a great singer! I am glad that she was there to keep us all on our toes!

Katie! What a Rocker chick!

Alexis is very good at serenading us with a sweet ballad!

I love Karaoke!

After hearing me sing I know there will be a lot of you asking me to sing for you, but just know that I will only perform during Karaoke night! Just kidding please please never ask me to sing, if you know what is good for you!
