2008 was Great

Wow I can't believe that another year has flown by. There have been so many good things that have happened in 2008.
We started off the year pregnant for the 2nd time and praying that Russ would be able to get a new job at a different school. Our prayers were answered and Russ got a job at a brand new middle school that is near our house! His commute is so much shorter now, it is so nice. The spring came and we were so anxious to go to Utah to surprise my grandparents on their 50th wedding anniversary. While we were there we got to see family that we haven't seen in years! It was so great! We were counting down the months and days until Daphnee would be here. In June McKaylee turned 1! We had a small party for her and she got to eat lots of cake. School was out so Russ took some odd jobs just to supplement our income. During that time he re-injured his herniated disk, so he wasn't feeling that great! August came and I was so ready to have my baby. Russ had started at his new job plus he was getting ready to start his first semester at UNT ( Go Mean Green) talk about a stressful time. Daphnee was 2 days late but she came in a hurry! Only after 2 1/2 hours in labor my sweet little girl came into the world. She has been such a joy since she's been here. Mckaylee and Daphnee have grown so much. They are both happy little girls and they always make me smile. I look back and I see so many blessings in the form of prayers being answered, family and friends that were there when we needed them. I am so blessed. I can't wait to see what 2009 brings us!

Pajama memories

Okay I have to admit when I was younger I was so mean to my little sister Danielle. I know that is hard to believe.... but when me and my sister Stephanie would babysit Danielle, we would have to get her ready for bed. We would purposefully put pajamas that were too small for her on so we could just watch her grunt and stretch because the jammies were too tight. I guess that I have grown up some because now I put my daughter in Jammies that are so big you can barely find her in them. Oh the memories that I have.

McKaylee

Mckaylee loves to jam with her new keyboard. She pushes buttons and music plays and she dances along with it. Funny!

All I can say is isn't McKaylee so cute? She loves to wear her hat. She always puts it on backwards. What a cutie!

Tiptoe Through the Tulips

Daphnee was just chillin in her bumbo while Russ and I were cleaning up dinner. When we turned around this is what we saw! She loves gerbera daisies just like her mommy!

Mmm Delicious!

Christmas day!

Christmas day... We were lucky our kids let us sleep in until 9:00 A.M. My mom was the one that gave us the wake up call.

Russ and I put this table together christmas eve. We were so excited for McKaylee to sit at it and play!

It was kind of hard to get McKaylee to come over to the tree and open presents. She had a fun time ripping off the paper and throwing it on the floor.

This is the guitar that we got her. She loves music.

This is McKaylee showing Daphnee how the play phone works. What a nice sister.

Here is McKaylee reading us the book the Aunt Susie and Uncle Ken got for her. She loves to look at the pictures. Thanks for the fun gifts!

We got McKaylee her own keyboard so that she could actually reach the keys. She loves to play the piano.

Daphnee got this cute stuffed animal from Ken and Susie! As you can see she loves to eat anything that she can get her hands on.

Finally all the gifts were open. McKaylee spread out all of her toys so that she could play all morning.
We hope all of you had a wonderful christmas and a happy new year.

Holy Molar!

On Monday I had to go to the Denstist for an unexpected root canal. I had been feeling pain every time that I would eat/drink something that was hot or cold.

When I got to the dentist's office they did a few tests to figure out which tooth it was that was bothering me. They tapped my teeth and then they stuck this freezing gauze stuff on them! I about died! It was so cold and it hurt so bad. They finally figures out which tooth it was.

They did the procedure and when I got home my mouth was numb all the way up to my eyes. When the numbness went away I started to feel the pain. Good thing I had a little something something to help me! I had some wonderful pain killers and my sweet little McKaylee!

Merry Christmas

My sweeties!

Look at my beautiful little girls! They are so much fun. I know that I haven't posted something for a while so here is an update.

McKaylee is almost 18 months! We have been putting her in nursery just a little bit early. She has so much fun in there. She is still my little explorer. She wanders everywhere in the house and likes to pull things off of shelves and throw them on the floor. She is totally into shoes! Who knew? She loves to walk around in my shoes. Whenever she gets the chance to hang out in my closet and wear my shoes she is there.

Daphnee is 4 months! she is the happiest baby! She smiles all the time.. She is also very ticklish! I love to tickle her just so that I can hear her laugh! She is getting so big. I can't believe how fast she is growing. We think that she is getting her first tooth..but we will have to wait and see.

Look at that Hair!

McKaylee created her own brand of mousse. It is called Banana al a mousse! She applies a handful of banana to her palm and squishes it until it is condensed then is applies it generously to her root and tips of her hair. Here are the results! Look at that volume!

I know it is hard to believe that she has hair but look at the results who knew that banana could do this!

She also has some curl in her hair... Mom I think you were right she just might have curly hair!

motocycle,motocycle, vroom vroom vroom

Look at my little biker! She borrowed the cool helmet from "uncle" John! Isn't she so awesome. Maybe when she is older she will have a bike of her own!

Lessons from Daphnee

Daphnee has been sick with a cold since we got back from Utah. Her nose has been running and she has been coughing. She throws up after each bottle because she is coughing. All in all she doesn't feel well... but she is always happy. She smiles and laughs even when he feels sick. I thought about that and it makes me think that no matter what bad thing is happening in my life I should be happy because it makes everything better! Thanks for the lesson Daphnee!
